A Lnked equipment class represents a group of instruments that are related to one another in such a way that it is not possible for two different users to use two instruments in the same class at the same time. UW CORAL will not allow two instruments in the same class to have any overlapping reservations by different agents, and will not allow simultaneous enable by different agents.
The only properties that linked equipment classes have are their ID, name and lab. Pressing the Equipment button on this tab will bring up an instrument picker allowing the user to move equipment in and out of the selected equipment class. Please note however that a given piece of equipment can only be in one linked equipment class at a time.
