The Lab>Quals tab is the most general interface for creating, querying and updating qual data available in UW CORAL.
Once a qual protocol is created using the Definitions>Qual Protocol tab, its name will appear in the Qual Protocol suggest box. Fill in a qual protocol and a begin date, add other restrictions as desired. Most of the filter fields require an exact match with the record; Condition matches whichever field is defined as the "condition" in the qual protocol. Results will be shown one per line after the user presses Search.
Once a search has been performed, new records can be created by pressing the Create New Record button. For a brand new qual protocol that does not yet have data, this is the only way to create a record since the other displays will not display or link a qual protocol with no records to display.
Incorrectly entered records can be deleted by pressing the X button; alternatively records can be edited by clicking on the line number. The editing form has a different appearance for each qual protocol, depending on the configuration given in the Definitions>Qual Procol tab.
