Registration Course
Staff members can use this tab to create and edit the Course entries that appear in user registration, for those facilities that allow course registration. Please note, of course, that these courses are not necessarily related to academic courses.
The properties of the Course object are as follows:
- Name
- The name of the course. This must be unique.
- Rank
- The rank of this course, in the list presented to users. The default is 1000.
- Description
- A long description of the course. At present this is only for bookkeeping.
- Instructor
- The user who will be recorded as the users' PI.
- Lab
- The lab in which this course will appear.
- Project
- The project the uses' activity will be billed to. This entry is required. It must be an existing project.
- Account
- The account the users' activity will be billed to. This entry is required and must likewise already exist.
- Flags: Add Student Staff Role
- When the user is created, fill in the check box to give this user the studentstaff role.
- Flags: Add Staff and Admin Roles
- Similar to the above, but staff and admin roles.
- Flags: Course includes orientation
- Do not show the orientation step to the users during registration. The course curriculum will include orientation.
- Flags: Course includes secondary orientation
- Do not show the secondary orientation step to uses during registration.
