Inventory (Supply)
Supplies have only a few properties that are of interest: Lab,
Name, Unit, Location and Area:
- Lab
- The lab which stocks this item. Note that identical items
in different labs must have different supply records. The
convention in the WNF is to name all WNF supplies with "(WNF)"
to distinguish them from other labs' supplies.
- Unit
- The units in which this supply are dispensed (e.g., "each" or "50-pack"). This is not a price.
- Location
- The location of this item (currently unused).
- Area
- The hierarchical area to which this supply belongs (see Inv Area, below).
Supplies have some subtleties that other types don't. If you need to add a new supply, please see the page on adding a new supply.
