The Tasks tab defines equipment maintenance tasks that need to be done on a regular basis, or at a specific time in the future. Similar to the maintenance tab, task entries cab be updated by clicking on the line number after a search, or a new entry can be created using the Create new task button.
Tool owners and maintainers are always warned of upcoming tasks, and other users may optionally be warned depending on which boxes are checked.
When tasks become overdue, the task notification is escalated depending on which other boxes are checked.
Clearing a task is done similarly to a maintenance issue. Notifications are sent to the maintenance, student and/or safety lists depending on which boxes are checked, and another task is posted a few weeks in the future, depending on the value given in the Repeat field.
